The owner of ‘A DJ and More’ is Ed Spencer.

And this is where we ‘brag’ a little about our background...

A little about Ed Spencer’s background:
He served 4 years in the US Army as a 24K1H - H.A.W.K. Continuous Wave Radar Repairer, Instructor Qualified. He served the bulk of his tour at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama where he instructed thousands of members of the US Armed Forces and students from other countries basic electronics.

Upon his completion of his military contract he joined the IT field. In this field he holds, or has held, a wide variety of certifications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Microsoft Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Trainer, A+ Certified Computer Technician, Network+ Certification, Security+ Certification, and many others.

He’s worked as an IT contractor for/to Siemens, Charles Schwab, Walt Disney World Company, Joint Program Office (Huntsville, Alabama), ECC International, US Coast Guard, Alyeska (Alaska Pipeline Services Company), Aramark, Denali Lodging, SAIC, Titan Sencom, SY Technologies, Emerald Coast Utilities Authority, and many others. He’s taught at The University of Phoenix, Herzing College, Calhoun Community College, Muscle Shoals Community College, Kodiak Community College, and at a variety of New Horizons, Productivity Point International, Executrain and independent learning centers throughout the country.

But what about his DJ work?
He attended Winter NAMM 2008 in Anaheim, California as a guest of M-Audio; attended Mobile Beat Las Vegas 2008 where he was 1 of 5 DJ’s who opened for Freedom Williams (of C+C Music Factory) and Tone Loc. He’s attended multiple Marbecca workshops where he’s received advanced training in performing as a proper Master of Ceremonies and advanced Wedding instruction. He beta tests for M-Audio, and helps to moderate the M-Audio forum for the Torq DJ software. He’s read no less than 15 books on wedding etiquette, traditions, and planning. He’s currently pursuing his wedding planner certification so that he can better serve his clients as a professional mobile wedding entertainer. He’s ridden along with some of the best DJ’s in the industry, including Peter Merry of the WED Guild. He has his performance critiqued regularly by other professionals so he can continue to excel at providing only the BEST in wedding entertainment.

He’s provided a variety of DJ services at a variety of venues throughout the country having performed in venues from Alaska to Florida. He’s assisted with live sound support, performed karaoke shows with more than 300 people and over 50 singers in rotation, performed at a variety of nightclubs (including having managed one), and provided not only the best, but some of the most creative wedding entertainment available on the Gulf Coast.
